The largest group of horse enthusiasts are those whose interest is in trail riding or just riding for pleasure. Finding the right horse for these activities can be a costly and time consuming process. The Great American Trail Horse Sale and Competition, February 27th, 2010 will be held at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Virginia and caters specifically to the trail and recreational rider. This unique, annual horse auction is held for trail horses of all breeds.

The criteria for consigning a horse to this sale is that the horse must be at least four years of age, and may be registered or unregistered. No stallions or pregnant mares are accepted. The Great American Trail Horse Sale has one of the best soundness guarantees in the auction business.

On Saturday, February 27th, at 8:30 a.m., the Trail Riding Seminar will be given by a top trainer and clinician. Those who attend the seminar will be eligible for a unique opportunity. Six people will be selected to ride the top 6 horses of the competition, on the trail course, including the winning horse.
